Nicola Douglass

Nicola Douglass is the Lead Pastor of Hillsong UK alongside her husband Tim. She is a gifted Bible teacher with a heart for empowering people to live out the Word of God in their everyday lives. Known for her authenticity, wisdom, and pastoral strength, Nicola has been serving within Hillsong Church for decades across Sydney, Melbourne and London.

Since moving to the UK with her family in 2021, Nicola has played a significant role in shaping the spiritual culture and community health of Hillsong UK. She carries a deep passion for women’s ministry, and building strong, Christ-centred disciples. Nicola’s preaching and leadership continue to inspire people to grow in faith, purpose, and confidence in God’s calling.

She was named as an Agent of Impact in 2019 by Impact Alpha, recognised as one of the Top 35 Women Moving Africa Forward in 2020. In 2021, she was named as one of the Top 100 global leaders combining profit and purpose by Meaningful Business. In 2022, Adesuwa was named as one of Top 100 African leaders under the age of 40 by the Institut Choiseul, set to play a major role in the economic development of the African continent and also recognized as one of the Top 50 Inspiring Women in Nigeria by BusinessDay. Adesuwa has been recognized as the first solo woman in Nigeria to raise more than $10m in an institutional venture capital fund.

She started her career at Lehman Brothers and holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol. She currently sits on seven boards in Nigeria across healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture renewable energy and hospitality sectors. She is married with a son and enjoys travelling, tennis and cooking.
